VT specializes in application and training in
the use of any model within the CEDAS system to solve real-world engineering
problems as well as project review consultants. VT staff has many years
of experience in the development and application of multi-dimensional
hydrodynamic, wave, and transport models to coastal areas, estuaries,
rivers, and lakes. Past studies included simulation of circulation, storm
surge, shoreline / beach evolution, wave propagation, and other coastal
phenomena.
As former Federal employees at WES, now officially known as the US Army
Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), VT staff had the opportunity
to team with several outstanding engineers and scientists on many large
studies of hydraulic, coastal, and environmental problems. These individuals
were considered the leading experts within the Corps of Engineers in
their particular technical area, and many have subsequently retired from
WES and established small engineering firms. We are teaming with our
former colleagues where it is advantageous to pool the best expertise
possible for studies where a combination of talent is required. A key
